17-4-2009 - Small Pelvis

My mood while writing this blog: Good

When I was having my son...I pushed for 4 hours trying to get him out. Doctor said that I have a small pelvis. Eventually I pushed him out. I was wondering if I have a bigger baby this time, would I have to get a c-section? I have an appointment on the 27th of this month and I will ask my doctor that question but I was just curious if that would happen?

I had similar situation, my daughter was 6lbs 10oz Dr said I would not be able to have a bigger baby. He induced me 2 weeks early due to size I pushed forever ad he used the vaccum but I delivered him at 8lbs 6oz. # 3 was the easiest I pushed maybe 15 min but she was 5lbs 15oz, at 3 weeks early.

I had a friend who had a baby last year, the Dr. did a C-section because she also had a small pelvis. They said by measuring the baby on the ultrasound, she wouldn't fit. I think it just all depends on how big the baby is and if they Dr. feels it would be unsafe to try.
