10-12-2008 - 12th week appointment

My mood while writing this blog: tired

well, i was really looking forward to my 12 week appointment... but it wasnt as exciting as i was hoping for. I started out getting sick Saturday night. I was chilly no matter how many blankets i put on so i decided to take a warm shower and then head off to bed. However, not how it happened. I got out of the shower and started vomiting. this continued until tuesday morning, only it was also diarrea and fever and aches and headaches. I couldnt keep anything down even liquids. So i went to my appointment feeling like crap. my appointment was at 10:30 and the first thing they did was weigh me...161 which was down 4 pounds just since Friday. The nurse took me to the exam room did the blood pressure thing, and i told them about how sick id been. she wrote it down and said the dr would be right with me. The dr came in and discussed this with me which she suggested i go right down to the urgent care and get IV fluids, then she searched for my babys heartbeat with the doppler thing...which she couldnt find. she went to get the ultrasound machine and i got to see the babys heartbeat at least. I then waited a couple hours before the urgent care opened and after 1.5 Liters of fluid later and at 5:30 I was released...feeling somewhat human for the first time in days.
