22-7-2008 - baby names!

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Well, we had it narrowed down to two names, then I thought of one that I LOOOOVE and my husband loves it too, we don't want to tell anyone because of course someone always has something negative to say about the name you pick out for your child! People always seem to think they have a better name for them! lol. Today I was at Hobby Lobby trying to pick out letters to spell out her name to hang on the wall in her room, well some like 90 yr old man walks by as I'm laying all these letters out on the floor and reads the name outloud, then LAUGHS! I about turned around and said 'hey bud I'm surprised you could even READ what it said through your bifocals!' AHH. old people! haha. Anywho, I still adore the name we've chose for our precious baby girl, she will have 2 middle names and I like the thought of that :) so people that go around bashing names of other people's children, maybe you should think twice because who knows who's gonna make fun of your child's name! When someone tells me the name of their child, I think it's adorable, always, I never HATE a name for a child because that is their identity and if the parents love it, than who are we to judge? Maybe it's not the name you'd choose for your child, but guess what it ISN'T your child so it's not your concern now is it? This is why we aren't telling people her name before she gets here, that way we can introduce her to the world all at once and they will love her no matter what her name is! I don't want to hear negative responses about what we've chosen!

Has anyone else had someone just completely put down the name you've chosen for your baby? It just really irritates me I suppose! I told my best friend what the name was because I couldn't not tell ANYONE and she's having a boy in a month so it's not like she's going to steal our name lol, and her response was "it's beautiful but man I feel sorry for her when she has to spell her name out!" She says this because our child will have 2 middle names, is having 2 middle names really that uncommon?? hmmm.
