10-6-2010 - Middle of: Week 6

My mood while writing this blog:
Hungry

Still no morning sickness! I know I'm probably jinxing myself but I can't help it! I think this may be our last night in our little flat; we move into our house this weekend! No heavy lifting for me so I'll just be moving the linens and bossing everyone around heheheh. =) I've had some mild cravings lately, mostly chicken, (love seasoning up chicken breasts and grilling them to perfection in the George Foreman.. they make epic salads) Avocados/Guacamole (Avocados are $3.25 ea. here right now because it's Winter in NZ.. sigh..) and Peanut Butter.

I've developed a penchant for sleeping with my hands on my abdomen because one of our cats is a cuddler and I worry about him hopping on my tummy at night (He was born deaf so he doesn't ever hear when we complain when he hops on/off us in the middle of the night so he's never grown out of it).. I've woken up on my tummy a few times, which worries me, so I've started putting pillows on either side of me so that if I roll over in the middle of the night, I end up kind of sideways with the pillow against my tummy to keep it at an angle. Seems to be working but my husband doesn't much care for getting a pillow shoved between us at night. Poor guy, he's such a trooper!

I'm kind of worried about not packing enough.. I lay in bed in the morning and think to myself "Okay, I'm going to get up and start packing and finishing the laundry and cleaning up." But then I just go straight to the couch and snuggle into a warm blanket. Winter without Christmas sucks.

Thanks for the advice guys!! I've been sleeping heaps better since becoming pregnant. I used to have a lot of trouble with sleeplessness and insomnia.. now I sleep like a hibernating bear, it's awesome! Don't worry, you weren't sounding condescending at all Jesso, I'll take all the advice I can get. :)

I was so careful when I was pregnant with my 1st child! Now I know that it's ok to sleep on your tummy until it becomes uncomfortable to you. Also, your kitty won't harm anything. A pillow will be needed later to prop you and support your back, but not yet. It's okay to lift things too, i carry my toddler and 10month old at the same time, no harm done. I hope this message doesn't sound condescending, I totally do not mean for it to be!!! I just added you as a friend and I'm just sharing from past experience, but you do what you feel is best! Ok, so all I have is a feeling of nausea, but it's been gone for a few days! And I feel you on how tired you are; it's horrible seeing your home fall apart and be so dirty, but yeah, that couch sure does look appealing! haha. Wow, so you're in New Zeland! how cool!!

Hey JennishI'm exactly the same still no morning sickness. Shouldnt we be sleeping on our tummys? I have done it a few times and it feels fine?? Are you sleeping well? I've been so sleepy at night and sleeping right through which I never did before. My dreams are crazy aswell. xxxx
