We bought Xander his crib today (Or as the Kiwis here call them- a Cot)! I'm so happy; I just keep walking back into his bedroom, sitting on the bed and looking around at all the stuff.. imagining him napping inside of his crib, or laying next to him on the bed. So exciting!!
But just to be clear... I'd be hiding it if I didn't mention that this crib was the hardest thing we've ever had to put together in our friggin lives!! My husband did most of the work (I helped by holding things up for him and passing him screws and bolts) And we got so frustrated trying to figure out how to get the push side to go in right... I had to make him take a break and let me look at it for a while. I ended up figuring out what needed to be done to make it fit correctly and then we worked together to get it in. Hooray for team work! :)
The crib was regularly $519 but we got it on sale for $359... Then we had to shell out about $160 for a quality innerspring mattress.. I don't enjoy spending money but I do love finding sales, even if everything is more expensive here!
We haven't decorated or bought bedding for the crib yet cuz I still haven't decided how I want to do his room.. the walls are a very very pale green right now- which matches the carpet and blinds.. and I'm trying to decide if I want to continue on this theme.. If I go into some nice sages, I think it'd look really good.. And not so cookie cutter boy blue. Ugh now I have heartburn lame. :( Just when I was thinking about going to sleep! Guess I'll go guzzle some water and hope it helps. Night!!

Love it.. Almost identical to my sons crib!! Our stain is a little darker though. Very good cot!
