Is this your first pregnancy?: Yes
When did you find out you were pregnant?: June 4th 2010
Was it planned?: Yes
What was your first reaction?: I did the Snoopy dance in the bathroom! I was just so shocked! We had been planning a baby and were on our 2nd month of trying, but I always thought it'd be harder than that! I knew something was up because I was spotting and I NEVER spot, but I was really surprised when the result was 2 happy little positive lines.
Who was with you when you found out?: It was about 5-6am.. My Husband was in the other room, I crawled back in bed, snuggled him and told him we were having a baby. He said, "Ow your hands are cold. Wait what? Hah I ~told you~ that you were pregnant!"
Who was the first person you told?: My husband, followed by my Mom on Skype. We told my mom we were going to take a test the day before, while she was at work, and she was so certain that I was pregnant that she had her employees congratulate me over webcam lol.
How did your parents react?: Both of our parents are super excited, his dad practically has "GRANDPA-TO-BE" tattooed on his forehead.
How far along are you?: 6 weeks and 3 days as of writing this.
What was your first symptom?: Spotting instead of period, exhaustion and increased urination.
What is your due date?:February 2nd, February 7th, February 3rd 2011 (Correct by ultrasound twice)
Do you know the sex of the baby?: Not yet but on my 13 week ultrasound the tech spotted something that she said 'looked suspciously like a penis' (Updated: IT'S DEFINTELY A BOY!!!!)
If so, what is it?: It's a boy!
Have you picked out names?: Yes. My maternal Grandfather died when I was 7, his name was Alfred William Locke and my last memory of him is him telling me how much he disliked the name Alfred and had always wished he was named Alexander. This stuck with me my whole life and thankfully, my husband really liked the names as well.
If so, what are they?: Lily Elisabella Melody for a girl, Alexander William Locke for a boy.
How much weight have you gained?: I'm not measuring. I'm just going to go by how fat I look and how well my clothes fit. It keeps me happy.
Have you felt the baby move?: As of about 19 weeks - ALLLLLL THE TIME! His favourite times to kick me are in the morning when I wake up, whenever I'm eating (I swear he's saying 'more! more!') and when we're in the car.
Have you heard the heartbeat?: I saw the heartbeat on 7/14 but didn't get to hear it. Heart was beating at 152.82 bmp! We finally heard the heartbeat on 8/17!!~ Such a relief!
About the birth
Will you keep the baby?: Yes of course
Home or hospital birth?: Hospital
Natural or medicated birth?: Definitely medicated, I have absolutely no interest in joining the natural fad. We take medicine for headaches, broken arms and bleeding wounds- why would I change my mind for pain from my most sensitive spot?
Who will be in the delivery room with you?: My Husband and hopefully my mother (She lives in the USA, we live in NZ).
Will you breastfeed?: Absolutely, I've always wanted to. I think the Kiwis here would shoot me if I didn't.. They're very, very aggressive about breastfeeding here and you're basically a criminal if you don't do it lol..
Do you think you'll need a c-section?: Baby is breech, so maybe. I really hope I don't have to have one because recovery looks like a bitch. There's plenty of time left for him to move though, so I'll just have to hope. :[
Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time?: Of course, I'm a total baby!
What's the first thing you might say to him/her?: Hi baby, I'm your mommy <3
Would you let someone videotape the birth?: Umm don't think so lol.. Something tells me the best parts of my personality won't be shining when I'm forcing a watermelon through my happy spot. :(
Are you excited about the birth, or scared?: Excited!! Every so often it occurs to me that I'm actually going to have to give birth and it's really going to hurt but most of the time I just focus on enjoying being pregnant.

♥ How long have you been together?
5 years, 5 months, 2 weeks and 1 day. :) I should start out by mentioning we met playing Online video games together (Ragnarok Online and World of Warcraft) and were long distance for about 3 years.
♥ How long did you know each other before you started dating?
About 6 months maybe? We weren't very close, one night we just started hanging out online and talking on voice chat/webcam and it took off like a thunderstorm.
♥ Who asked who out?
He asked me out.
♥ How old are each of you?
I'm 23, he's 25
♥ Whose siblings do you see the most?
His, my entire family is in the USA. We live in New Zealand.
♥ Do you have any children together?
Our son Alexander, due Feb 3rd 2011.

2 cats: Deafcat (he's a pure white deaf cat) and BB (aka Babykitty because he was sooooo tiny when we got them) We tried to give Deafcat normal names twice but nothing stuck like 'Deafcat'. He's our Deafie. <3
♥ Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple?
Being apart, being that we spent the first 3 years of our relationship long distance.
♥ Did you go to the same school?
No, although being in such a small community on Ragnarok Online really FELT more like high school than my actual HS did.
♥ Are you from the same home town?
No, I'm from California and he's from New Zealand. Commuting was fun. /deadpan
♥ Who is the smartest?
We both have our strong points.. He's very math orientated and I'm more into grammar and spelling.
♥ Who is the most sensitive?
Me - absolutely no question.
♥ Where do you eat out most as a couple?
We have 3 places we bounce between.. one is a little Italian place, one is an American themed Diner and the other is American/Southwestern Food. You'd be surprised how hard you cling onto any bit of your heritage once you move to a different country.
♥ Who has the craziest ex?
Him. She never comes up or anything and they were only together for a few months... she's just really stupid lol. We started hanging out as friends when they were on the rocks and she was being a super bitch to him, ready to let him go because they were fighting nonstop.. then she realized we were getting close and suddenly she's back in love with him again! We had a lot of drama in the early months and I wasn't into the idea of being close to him when he was working through his relationship with her so I peaced out.. It didn't last long because he realized he was toying around with an absolute idiot and had let awesome fantastic me go. :)
♥ Who has the worst temper?
He would say me, but we never fight so it's not that kind of temper.
♥ Who does the cooking?
I do, but I let him handle the meat because it grosses me out lately.
♥ Who is more social?
Neither of us, tbh. We're just not the kind of people to go out with a group or anything.. we have heaps of friends but they're all long distance, especially considering I left all my friends back in the states.
♥ Who is the neat-freak?
Neither of us, we both tidy the house of our own accord, without having to nag eachother. We work together as a team really well.
♥ Who is the more stubborn?
Me me me me me. *is a Taurus*
♥ Who hogs the bed?
I'd say neither but he doesn't really like my needing pillows on either side of me to sleep. Apparently I push the pillow between us into him at night and he wakes up on the end of the bed. He's a good boy though, doesn't complain unless I bring it up. :)

Him, for some reason he's incapable of sleeping in.
♥ Where was your first date?
We didn't really date, we just kind of met, fell in love and that was that. Once we were in the same country, I'd say our first "date" where we went out to eat and all that was at a little thai restaurant.

Me!
♥ Do you get flowers often?
No, he is not into flowers AT ALL lol <-- same
♥How do you spend the holidays?
It depends on what holiday.. we had my mom down for Thanksgiving last year (they don't celebrate it here!) and it's summer during Christmastime here so we usually go out of town with his parents and rent a beach house.
♥ Who is more jealous?
Neither, we're all about each other <-- same
♥ How long did it take to get serious?
Not long at all.. we hit a rough patch when we first realized we had feelings for eachother because I wasn't down with being in a relationship until his ex was completely GONE from his life.. it was a very uncomfortable situation because I realized he was THE ONE almost instantly and it scared the daylights out of me. We told eachother we loved eachother before we were even in a relationship.
♥ Who eats more?
Me. Hungry pregnant lady needs to eeeeat.
♥ Who does/did the laundry?
Me! He does it wrong and doesn't fold them when they come out of the dryer so I had to kind of ban him from doing them. I don't mind though, the only part I hate is ironing his 80 THOUSAND work shirts haha.
♥ Who’s better with the computer?
Me!
♥ Who drives when you are together?
Him, always. I was never fond of driving when I lived in the states and I'm sure as hell not going to pick it up now that I live somewhere where they drive on the wrong side of the road.
