So thank GOD I ended up having an emergency c-section because this kid is huge and just keeps getting bigger and bigger! Newborns are supposed to lose weight their first week, right? He gained and has been gaining ever since! He was 9lbs 8oz when he was born and at his 3 week midwife check-up he was 11lbs 6oz!!! My husband was a really big baby too and is very tall so I just hope he's taking after his daddy and that I'm not somehow over-feeding him or something lol. They say breast-feeding is supply and demand but they haven't met my Alexander yet cuz I can't keep up!! He is such a good baby, I am so in love with him. He gives me these huge, beautiful gummy smiles every morning- I don't even mind having to get up because I get to see my sweet baby boy smiling and cooing and being adorable <3 His eyes keep getting bluer and bluer and I just swoon every time he flashes me his dimples!
This is from yesterday morning.. I was TRYING to catch him smiling but I was too slow!
APPARENTLY this is a 3 week old baby.. looks more like 3 months to me. LOOK HOW LONG HE IS!

So sweet! He's a big boy! I worried about overfeeding too and I still do on some days. Jackson was also born by emergency c-section, but was only 6 lb. 1 oz. (at 38+4). He turned 7 weeks on Wednesday and has already doubled his birth weight!!!! He was 12 lb. 2 oz. last time I checked a couple days ago, so I'm sure he's more than that now. Hopefully he'll slow down at some point or he'll be huge! Whatever is best for our boys though. :-) They're supposed to know best what they need! Enjoy him while he's "little"!

He is simply gorgeous ! i know what you mean about looking big for there ages , my boy was 9lb 6 when he was born so he looked big too in his pics , but now when i look at his newborn vests they were tiny ! Congratulations xx
