LOL its funny how you call him a sperm donor. I think they check the histories and if in hes life CPS has been in it. My mom said that she wanted to take my nephew but sense when were were younger we had CPS, thats in the history so shes not allowed to have him. They want to see if the person is safe and has no criminal background. You know how other processes go when they want to see if financially it can be handled and if the living location is safe. But you would know that because you live there so that might not apply to you if you are planning to marry. then a counselor comes and checks out and have meetings and sometimes paper work and courts can take a while I don't know how long so... Hope things come out the way you like.

You need to contact Social Services or DCF about information. My parents had to go through DCF for any adoptopn information. They are fostering a little boy right now. I am sure if you google Adoption there are alot of info in your area regarding it. Good Luck with everything.

we want to do the same thing - dont have any info yet but if the sperm donors on the birth cert he has to sign - im changing my sons lastname to mine and my husbands he currently has my maiden name - goodluck

I dont know any hing about the adoption process...They probaly have some good info online. Or you being in the military I am sure you can go talk to JAG or some one else who deals with legal issues! Good luck

Hey ladies I have some questions about the Adoption Process and what all needs to happen...
I have been so lucky to have been blessed with such a wonderful...God is truly a Great being...Jamaal now wants to Adopt AJ and Jailyn and make them officially his...which is great and Im so in love with this man, but we just want the information to read up on so when we do get married in July that will be another big step to take, becuz their sperm donor is just that, he doesn't call, send any money NOTHING, dont even call ignores me till no end...I just want my kids to be with the 1 man they have known as they daddy (Jamaal) he been there for them like u could never believe!!! SO if any of u know anythign let me know Please...I want to be rid of my Sperm Donor permanently!!!
