26-7-2008 - Contractions That Stopped!

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Well for those of you who don't know I had my uncles funeral on Thursday a very sad affair but I wont go into that right now.

On the way to the funeral in my dads car I started getting huge contractions like i've not experienced before to the point that I had tears rolling down my face after 45 minutes and made my dad stop the car so I could get out and assess whether it was cramping contractions or what!! it was kind of confusing and being my first little one you've got nothing to compare it too, but from what I can tell from others each babies arrival is so different anyway!

Well over the next couple of hours the contractions continued but weren't anywhere near as intense. I made a joke with my partner and cousins that please if this baby decides to come without much warning make sure i'm not in the cemetary or crematorium to give birth throw me over a fence into a neighbouring field or something anywhere!! :) it would have all made my uncle laugh anyway.

Luckily the contractions subsided but that was the nearest i've come to experiencing the sort of feelings giving birth will bring! What a day, was very glad to be back in my home area close to my hospital etc etc.

Come on labour we're waiting! xxxx
