26-6-2008 - Fetal Heart Monitor

So my husband and I ordered a fetal heart monitor on ebay a couple of weeks ago. It finally came in! Even though it has only been a week since I heard the little bean's heartbeat at the doctor's I have been so anxious to hear it again. Well, I tried it myself (hubby at work) and I couldn't find anything, only my own. I tried not to freak, cause I know that sometimes you have to be further along for them to work. I called Josh at work and told him that I couldn't find it. Well, he finished up work early and came home right away to try it out. After about 5 minutes he found it! Very faint but definately there! He told me after that he was totally freaked when i called him to tell him that I couldn't find anything, but he didn't want to stress me out so he didn't say anything. Now I can listen to the bean any time I feel worried, or just want to hear him/her. I am so happy!

We have one too! I can't hear the baby's heart yet, I think it's still too small. I can hear my own most of the time. I'm so happy Josh was able to find it!

I am dying to get one, i'll start searching soon on ebay. How many weeks do you need to have in order to hear it at home?
