27-8-2008 - Hip Bones

My mood while writing this blog:
confused

I looked in the mirror today and realized that I can no longer see my hip bones. Where did they go? I remember where they used to be, jutting from my low slung jeans like jaunty little beacons that flashed "look at me! I'm young and slim and sexy!"

They must still be there...somewhere beneath this padding of baby and adulthood that suddenly sprang up on me overnight.

Will I ever see my hip bones again, or are they lost forever? Yet another indication that I will never be that crop top sporting, hip hugger wearing, fun loving girl that I used to be? Are mother's allowed to have hip bones? Or wear crop tops, for that matter?

Of all these changes that are happening, is it weird that the absence of hip bones are what made me stop and say 'holy shit, my whole life is changing!'?

hehe, they will come back. You seem like you will be pretty determined to lose the baby weight once your munchkin is here..so don't worry: ) Breast feeding should help you lose a lot of weight super fast too! I have seen really FAT mommies AND really fit mommies, I think it depends on how determined and displined you are about working out/eating right. But I know what you are going through, it's like looking in the mirror and asking yourself "WHO THE HELL IS THAT WOMEN? I must be in there somewhere beneath all that boob and tummy"

ahhh, hip bones... those were the days... my pierced belly button peaking out from a slightly short top... ahhhhh, I know how you feel.. what is life coming too... I started back at work today (i'm a teacher) and I felt discusting... not really big enough to scream pregnancy to everyone but big enough to be noticeability bigger to everyone.... ahhhhh hip bones.....
