25-4-2008 - Surgery

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

I was just released from the hospital this afternoon after having an emergency apendectomy. We got an ultrasound done on Tuesday evening to check on the baby. It was moving around and waving quite a bit! We even found out it's a BOY!!! The heart rate was up in the 170's...so the wive's tale is not always accurate!

I then was admitted to the hospital and had the surgery at 6:00 PM on Wednesday. They went in and took care of everything. Everything went great!

Afterwards they checked the baby's heart beat and it was in the 150's. I'm assuming it was so low due to all the anesthesia.

They checked the heart beat again on Wednesday evening and it was in the 170's again. I was a little concerned this afternoon when they attempted to check the heart rate again as she couldn't find it. After 3 attempts we finally found him hiding behind all my inners! It was in the 180's this time. So, he's moving around quite a bit and everything seems fine!

I'm a little sore but don't have any restrictions...so life is good!!
