31-7-2008 - Wrong Due Date????

My mood while writing this blog:
Nervous

So I'm a little, no, a LOT nervous that I'm farther along than we initally thought. I got 2 positive pregnancy tests in January and then had (what I thought) a period. Well, the doctor told me if I was bleeding it was obviously a chemical pregnancy or a false positive. So I just assumed I wasn't pregnant. Then February rolled around and I was able to get all my positive pregnancy tests 11 days before my period was due. That's WAY TOO EARLY!!!

I've been doing a lot of research on the symptoms of 27 weeks pregnant & 31 weeks pregnant. I realize that every woman is different, but I've got a lot more symptoms that are associated with being 31 weeks along vs. 27 weeks.

So, now I'm a little concerned that I'm further along. PLUS, all my ultrasounds have shown bubba growing big & the fundal height would have been dead on if I was further along.

I have my appointment Monday morning and I'm really hoping she'll do another ultrasound to confirm. My Mom & Mom-in-Law both are convinced I'm further along but I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm actually a little worried if I am further because my showers are all scheduled for Sept.

Anyway, hopefully I'll find out on Monday how far along I really am. That would make the appt. much easier to look foward to since I have my glucose test then too!!!

WOO HOO sounds exciting you might be further along and you didn't know it. Look at it as an adventure and 4 weeks have gone missing. Please keep me posted with how you get on on Monday, *hugs* x

I had a friend whos wif e was 5 months along by the time they found out she was pregnant. She had four regular periods while she was pregnant and wasnt gaining any weight. So I mean hey, it could def. happen.

Wow- 4 weks is a WORLD of a difference.. Dont worry,sweetie. At most you have to shift your baby showers a little earlier- I am sure everyone will understand :)

I spotted for my period in the middle of January and again in February. I thought the Jan spotting was implantation bleeding, but all pregnancy tests were negative. I didn't get a positive test until Feb. 18. I wish they would move my due date up as I want to see Mercedes so bad, but every ultrasound has me scheduled to deliver on 10/27. Bummer!! I hope everything goes as expected for you. I bet your instincts are correct about your due date. However, it all depends on the quality of the pregnancy test you used. Some can tell you sooner than others.

Oh my goodness, I hope you find the answers you're looking for! I had heard that there are almost never false positives with pregnancy tests. I'd bet your suspicions are right.
