19-9-2008 - C-SECTION SCHEDULED

My mood while writing this blog:
Anxious

Ok, so, unless sex brings it on sooner (b/c the doc told us today sex is OK and should only be avoided if you're high risk for going into labor early)... OUR C-SECTION is scheduled for WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 22nd at 1:00pm!!!!!!!!!

HIP HIP HOOOORAY!!! Its NOT at the BUTT CRACK of DAWN :D

The only bad part about the whole thing (and its kinda good in a way) is that they will be putting me to sleep for the procedure. I say its "kinda good" b.c. of avoiding the risks associated with having any type of spinal (especially in my case, where an added risk is PERMANENT PARALYSIS b/c of the blood thinners I am on)

... Its bad/sad to me b/c #1, WHAT IF I NEVER WAKE UP??? and #2, I will be OUT OF IT for like an hour, and then woozy once I do wake up. I only pray I will still be able to BREASTFEED!

Just PLEASE keep me in your prayers!!!

Hi there I read your blog about the blood thinners,and I am trying to figure out why they are putting you to sleep. I had my son May 27th, and I was on Lovenox the whole pregnancy ended up with an emergancy C-section and they never once mentioned putting me out nor anything about paralysis. Not to mention the fact that they ended up doing the old school verticle (thank god it healed as well as it has). I had to see a perinatologist (specializes in the fetus as well as mom) I was very high risk as well. I don't want to pry but I was just trying to get information that I may have been unaware of. Congrats on your new baby. P.S. I started over as well I have a beautiful 8 year old daughter soon to be 9 and now a 4 month old son.......... I wish you and your family nothing but the best!!!!!!!

Congratulations!!!! You are so lucky to know exactly when your little munchkin will be born. :) I go back to see my October again on the 1st of October. I believe he will start checking me down there. I sure hope that I'm thining or some kind of progress. If sex would help speed up the process...I would have sex every day with my hubby! lol!! But I really don't want her coming any sooner than 38 weeks. Actually my b-day is the 12th of October. I will be 37 weeks and six days. Maybe see will come that week of my birthday or the week after. I purchased her a Halloween oneies. Not for sure if she will be here by then. I guess I can take it back just in case she hasn't been born yet. I also got her a Christmas oneies yesterday at Kohls. It's sooooo cute. I need to take a picture of it and post it. Also, I really need some more hair bows. She only has about six of them. I need one for every outfitt! lol!! Well...I'm very happy for you. Don't worry...you will wake up and all will be fine. I had some oral surgery where they knocked me out....and I always worried about the same thing..but they are professionals. Keep me posted. :)

Thats awesome lady!!!! You will be fine! Seriously! I can't wait either. My doc is talking about inducing me around the 9th though so I hope that actually happens and my cervix is cooperating. I want him OUT SO bad! Good luck with it though.....I know you will do great!

Oh I'm soooo glad you finally have a date!!!!! yay!!!!!! I bet you're anxious and counting down the days... I know I would! DON'T worry about the surgery part - trust & believe that you will be fine because He has already planned for this. & about the breastfeeding, that's what we're meant to do, it's nature and it's natural so it will be fine - even if you're groggy, just get someone to attach him to your booby and it'll all work out!! lol!! stay positive my darling, I will always keep you in my prayers!!!!!!

Congrats you finally have a day!! You will be fine you have made it this far which shows how strong you are so you should not be concered about the surgery. I to was worried about mine but I said I have already made it through the hard part that is the easy part. You will do great and just think when you wake up the baby will be there waiting for you. I am sure you will be able to breastfeed you should talk to the doc before going in to see. I am so happy for you hopefully my doc will give me an exact date on Monday when I go in I want to know darn it. Maybe the same day that would be cool.

Congrats! I hope everything turns out ok for you and the baby! Look at it this way, you will take a little nap and wake up and your precious little baby will be here!! Like a dream! lol

I will be thinking of you hun, Im sure you will be ok and you will be holding your precious little baby soon after you wake up. Gosh at least you know what day its birthday will be, I hate not knowing when mine is coming. But getting excited and nervous. Keep me informed how your getting on hun xxx
