12-5-2008 - Mothers Day

My mood while writing this blog: Good, but sick with allergies

So yesterday was Mothers Day... Everyone agreed i got to celebrate too as a mommy to be :)

My day started off with my first actual morning sickness, gettin sick :( But all that was forgotten when Jeff returned home from picking up last minute things and knocked on the door, I answered to find him standing there with flowers and a card that said "To my Babys Moma" I nealry cried. It was so sweet he had this big smile on his face, and to think i thought he wasnt going to celebrate me today.

I had an amazing day, and to think that i thought it was going to be one of the most stressful days prepping dinner and introducing families. Our families met for the first time, at our house, as we hosted our first big dinner together... It was great! They immediately bonded and it was like they have known eachother as long as Jeff and I. By the end of the night everyone realised that its a small world and they all grew up with and still know alot of the same people! My family actually knows some of Jeffs extended family pretty well! Could not have gone better. Dinner was soooooo yummy :) we made 2 roasts w/ gravy, tuna pasta salad, mashed potatoes, and steamed veggies. My daddy brought the appies to ease the load off us. Oh and for dessert Jeff picked out a strawberry mango mousse cake, it was soo yummy i cant wait to have some more later :) Jeff was a big help in the kitchen, usually im the cook.

Our guests included: Jeffs mom and step dad, his brother and sister in law, and their 4 year old girl. My mom, dad and grandma, my brother and sister in law, and their 11 month old boy. And our roommate, jeffs cousin.

Once guests left Jeff, Tyler and I had a good time talking about family and i learned alot about Jeffs past father and tylers side of the family... we agreed to go visit them asap to share our news of becoming mom and dad. Then Jeff and I climbed into bed to watch a movie and the night ended perfectly, watching him fall asleep cuddled up to me ....

And the night ended Happy Ever After.
