28-4-2009 - Braxton Hicks??

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

So everything I have been reading has been telling me I should be experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions by now, and I have not had a single one? Or maybe I have, and I just don't know it?

Have any of you ladies experienced them yet? If so what do they feel like? Some articles say they are painless and you may not notice them and others say they are slightly painful.

With my first 3 pregnancy's i didnt notice them but with this one I have. They fell almost like a period cramp and sometimes my back will hurt for a few seconds and it will go away.

i've been getting BH's since i was 14 weeks...but this is my 2nd pregnancy so i knew what they felt like. when you get one your uterus gets SUPER tight and it almost takes your breath away...they are not really painful just uncomfy and makes you feel like you can't stand up straight. i'm sure you have had them, but just are not sure...

I dont know if I get them but well maybe I do they say your tummy tightens then relax thats them sometimes I feel that.

yup thats them lol i get them once in awhile there very rare for me though but thats how they feel for me too arnt they fun lol

To be honest I am not certain that I have been having them, but think that I might be. My stomach tightens up, like as if I was not pregnant and I were flexing my stomach muscles. Somtimes I just feel like he is really pushing out or like he is really big when it happens. It is kind of hard to explain, but when my stomach tightens it feels like it is really, really full.
Anyway, I think that is what it is and it seems to last a few minutes and then go away, sometimes they are uncomfortable and sometimes I don't really notice.
That all being said I never noticed anything like it at all with my daughter 8 years ago (today actually, because today is her birthday!!!!). I know that I must have been having something with her because I was 2cm dialated when they induced me at 37 weeks.
Sorry if that is not helpful, they are kind of hard to explain!
