16-4-2008 - update 16th April DramaMy mood while writing this blog:
Drama

So sorry I have been of for so long, hoping that life will begin to settle again now. I have had yet another drama... I noticed that my stitches from the episotomy were getting rather sore, my midwife and Mum said that day 4 and 5 were sore as the swelling went down could be a bit painful. On thursday last week it got to the point where I was screaming when I peed as it hurt so much. I had a wee look in a mirror and thought that my stitches looked a little infected. I talked to my midwife and told her I'd taken my temp and it was normal. She came by and checked them the next day and freaked out, she sent me back to hospital. The registrar came in and made a comment about how I was sitting, like how bad can it be if I'm sitting. She then took a look and freaked out to. It seems that the tissue around my stitches had given way and I had an massive infection and a hole that was 3cm deep and 5 cm long in my perinium. I was sent home with drugs for africa and alsorts of stuff to try to dress it etc. I have been back once since and have to go back weekly to check progress, they think it will take 6 weeks to heal out but may need surgery at a later date if it doesn't heal properly. I am so sick of drama and all the dumb things that happen to me. I didn't relaise how sick I was until I started to feel better.
Toby has been amazing through it all, he is getting into a routine and sleeps for 5 hour stretches in the night which is fab as I have needed the sleep to recover. At the end of the day if I had to do it all again tomorrow to get him I'd do it in a heart beat.

20 weeks tomorrow and feeling fine! :-) Just a bit on the achy side. Thank goodness for wheatie packs!!! I even have one at school, and a lovely teacher aide that occasionally nukes it for me! LOL! How is little Toby going? I bet he is growing heaps. Has he grown out of stuff already? He's sure to be a big tall boy!! Hee hee, it's going to be so nice to see him. And get justin a bit of practise in baby cuddling too!!!! xxx Lots of love. Hope you are still healing up nicely! xxx Manda.

hope you are better!!! horrible stuff - I was just thinking that the only good thing about this is that it doesn't effect baby. If something like that would have happened to wee Toby you'd be 100x more freaked out.

I'm still on a waiting list - no baby yet. My due date is tomorrow. I'm resting heaps as my MIL is doing absolutely everything for me - lucky me!

Let's this be your last drama! Looking forward to some new Toby pics.
