Ahhh where do i start? lol...well, monday the 16th was my 37 week prenatal appt, so i went as normal...the day before i had been havin a few contractions, nothin consistent...and i was nestin like CRAZY....i cleaned like 5hrs straight, everyone in my house was lookin at me like what is wrong with u/?? lol...but yeah so im at the doc n i start havin braxton hicks n decided to time them while i waited, n they were 10mins apart, accompanied by nausea and cramps...so i mentioned it to the doc n he decided to give me a kwik pelvic check n my cervix was closed still, so he sent me to the L&D floor to be monitored...mind u i was with my daughter lol n she was tired so once they hooked me up she started cryin cuz she was tireed...so i had to call my dad n he came n got her for me...
After a hr or 2, the nurse and doctor came in n said they were concerned because i was contracting, cervix was closed and the baby's heartbeat was irregular and faint so the doc goes "yeah...looks like we're gonna deliver u tonite" n i was like whaaaaaat?! lol was soooo sudden cuz i wasnt expecting it...my bag wasnt even completely packed! lol so i was moved over to the labor room, had to walk over there which suddenly felt excruciating, came to find out when i was in the L&D room hooked up that my contractions suddenly were 2-3mins apart n still no dilating...so by about 230pm, im in the bed, starving to death n watchin dr phil while makin quick phonecalls to Dwight n my parents...my mom was still @ work, n so was dwight n he picked that day to NOT drive so he had to take a LONNNG train ride to get to me...so they prep me n then the anesthesiologist comes in like 4pm explainin everyting to me n im like wait wait so ur doin this now?? and she's like yup! right now n im like freakin out cuz no one is here yet to go in with me...so i have to walk AGAIN (ouchhh) to the OR, n the anesthesiologist does his thing while im staring at the doorway the whole time waiting for someone i kno to walk thru it...no one does...
Long story short, i ended up in the OR by myself, almost passed out on the table, the meds made me woozyish at first...n when i heard that first cry i was bawlin....soo happy he was out n he was gorgeous, 6lbs 10oz, 20in n a head full of hair, which explains all that heartburn lol...n of course the moment hes out i hear them sayin that theres a Dwight here n i was like omg cant believe he missed it, even tho it wasnt intentional:-\...
But oh no, it aint ova....turns out Tyler had an irregular heartbeat n had to stay in the NICU the whole week, i stayed with him...he's ok tho, still has it but its not a heart murmur or anything serious...hopefully n prayerfully he'll grow out of it...so as of now im just enjoyin him n recoverin! i love my boy n im sooo excited about my "set" lol...SHOP IS OFFICIALLY LOCKED DOWN!!!....until i walk down the aisle at least...maybe then we'll talk about it...alot lol

sounds like you had an eventful birth! that woulda been scary to hear that your gonna deliver that night. i woulda freaked out! im glad the c section didnt go too bad for you. the meds do make you a little weird though. i remember that. it goes by so quick though. and that first cry really does make you bawl!! i really thought that i wouldnt cry the whole time and then i heard her little cries and just bawled my eyes out. congrats again!
