16-7-2008 - Thought I Was Getting Induced Today

So I went in today for my last prenatal visit and my midwife checked my cervix....It had finally progressed to 3cm and 75% effacement. She stripped my membranes and I was bleeding when she finished! So I was excited!

When she checked my blood pressure it was high so she told me that I needed to go to the hospital right away so they can run all the tests for Pre E! I was excited....now I know its not good to have high blood pressure but the thought of me delivering today had me sooooo happy!!! When I got to the hospital they checked me and my pressure was higher. So they were like "you'll probably get induced tonight."

As soon as they put me in a delivery room and hooked me up to a monitor my blood pressure started to slowly decrease. You all know I was pissed! Then they took 4 tubes of blood, gave me and U/S to check my amniotic fluid levels. I passed every test with flying colors :( Insult to injury...they sent me home with this huge jar that I have to piss in for the next 24 hours and bring it back to them tomorrow!

My hopes were up so high! I thought I would have my little girl at least by the morning but instead I will be peeing in my pee pee jar :(
