04-7-2008 - Its my birthday and Zoe's 1 month check up

My mood while writing this blog: drink and my 2 step *non-alcoholic, of course*

July 4th, 1983...I was born!
Happy Birthday to meeeeeee!!!!

Anyhoo, Zoe went for her 1 month appointment yesterday. She now weighs 10 lbs, 15 oz. The doctor said that she's developing wonderfuly. She was cooing and smiling up until the nurse came in and gave my baby a shot. :( *sad music playing in the background, clutching my pearls against my chest and passing out*
She screamed and cried in a way I've never seen her do, and it broke my heart. Kam had to hold her while I stepped out of the room, and I cried just as hard as she did. I felt so helpless! It was nothing I could do to help her, and the whole time, she was screaming and looking up as if to say, "WHY AREN'T YOU HELPING ME? WHY?!" :( When she goes for her 2 month appointment where she'll get even more shots, I think I'll stay at home and let Kam take her.

After we left the doctors office, she did really well. She took a long nap, but after she woke up, she was back to her usual self-cooing and smiling. :)

All is well!:)

Hey girly. I've been MIA, so I'm trying to catch up with everyone quickly. Zoe is adorable! Aaron had his 2 month check-up...4 shots total, and I wanted to hurt somebody. He took the first one like a champ, and the second one drew blood to his leg. If he could strangle that nurse...LOL Anyway, hope all is well. Take care.

Ahhhh! I am so scared of the inevitable 2 month shots! We opted out of the 1 month Hep B shots, but I can't avoid Kenzie's shots forever! Ahhhh. I think I will have my husband take her to her next one. That was a good idea Kaprice

OH girl well I gave u your Birthday praise on your b-day!! And WOW 10lbs lil mama is a chunk huh? And I can not get over that profile pic with her robe on!! LOL I know how u feel about shots and I was balling when AJ and Jailyn got there's and the nurse asking me "am I ok" HELL no u just stabbed my child with 4 needles and he is screaming in pain...oh lawd when she has to get her ears pierced I had to leave b4 they even started!!!!!

happy b-day girl....awwww...i am glad Zoe did well...kamryn did well at her first month appt also...if you read my blog about her 2 month appt. (which she did not go to yet0 you will see how annoyed i was that her 2 month shots are not done and over with yet...enjoy your day !!!!!!

As for Zoe, way to go on her way to chunkville! Zachai's here waiting for ya! lol I really don't know how i'm gonna do this check up, i only wish Johnny could be here to go! You know how i handled the circumcision *tearing up at the thought* so i can only imagine how i'm gonna be at his first shot!!

Don't worry Zoe wasn't looking at you in anyway, she was wondering how she was gonna kick the nurses ass, that's all! lol
