Write a new blog

My mood while writing this blog: Ehh... |
Okay, so I really thought that we were on a roll with this night time thing and routine and all that. As I've said before though every time I think I have her figured out it seems to change (or when I think there is a pattern).
Keira didn't sleep as well last night and she kept getting her hands out of her swaddling. She was up around 1:30 am and then again at 4:30 am, then my son up at 5 am and then he comes to tell me goodbye at 6 am then Keira started stirring around 7 am again and I finally got up with her at 8:30 am but I was constantly reaching over to her bassinet and putting her music on and pacifier in her mouth praying she would let me get some more sleep.
Today, she didn't nap at all (to speak of). She cat napped here and there and that was about it. She was so exhausted come this evening that I gave her her bath a little bit earlier, then nursed her around the same time. She fell asleep at the first breast and wouldn't even give up a burp or move while I was trying to burp her. After about 15 minutes of trying to burp her I went ahead and put her down. Then I pumped the rest of my milk since she hadn't eaten well and had not taken both breasts. About 7 minutes into my pumping she wakes back up. (I had put her down at 8- her "normal time"). So then I had pumped 4 ounces and so now I had to give her my milk from a bottle. (weird for me). Since she was getting it from a bottle and not my breast, she of course, did not go back to sleep. Now I had to work hard to get her down. I finally got her down at 10 PM tonight instead of her normal 7-8 time range. Hopefully she'll sleep better and wake later tonight than she normally does. If I get to sleep straight through to 5 am when I get my son up I'll be so happy. Then maybe I could still get some more sleep after that. Who knows. I can hope and pray though.
This not taking naps during the day though is really killing me.

Wednesday, 18 Feb Ahh, naps. I haven't had a nap since Markus was three weeks old. I feel, your pain! :)
