19-10-2008 - Emma's Six months check up (10-17-08)

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

This time for her check up we took Emma to Mexico, I wanted a Doctor who actually explain to me what's going on with her, hubby insurance works there as well so it was fine. The Doctor told us that Emma is one kilo over (8 kilos total) but that + 1 kilo is better than - 1 kilo, but he said we need to change/watch her feedings, she should eat 8 oz 4 times a day no 3 to 4 oz every 3-4 hours, he said she's still eating like a newborn and that's the reason she's still waking up at nights because she's not eating enough before bed, so we will try to follow his advice, he also explained to us how much, how often and what she should be eating, he said she's ready for proteins! that's excited!...He measured her and she's 28.5 in so no wonder the 6-9 months clothes fit her just fine, she's in the upper limit! this happened last month because I noticed a couple weeks ago, she was still wearing some 0-3 and all 3-6 were a little big, but now she's super big, but he said this is normal, some babies grow like that and then stop for a while, but overall she's a healthy baby and we're doing a wonderfull job...another thing no walker and no paci... also no thumb! that's going to be hard!... I'll do my best but I'm pretty happy, I got my answers and Emma is healthy... we will get her shots at the health department this Monday...
