Just wanted to let everyone know that our Katelyn is being released from the NICU tomorrow!!!!!!! She is doing so well that they don't feel she needs to be there any longer. We both expected her to be there another week at least...maybe two. I am in complete shock. We are still finishing up her room but we will have everything done by tomorrow afternoon. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. At the same time, I am a little scared. I think I will be awake all night watching to make sure she is breathing okay. There are no monitors here like in the hospital. I'm also kind of scared because it's just me and Ken. I don't have anyone to come and help me her first few days home. Times like this I really miss my mom. What an amazing 40th birthday present though. My big 40 is next Tuesday and I couldn't have asked for any better gift. Ken is taking me out tonight as this will probably be our last time to get out alone for quite some time. Hope all is well with everyone. Good luck to you all. Keep in touch.

HI MY DAUGHTER WAS BORN AT 27 WEEKS...HAD A MILLION SET BACKS WHILE IN THE HOSPITAL! I ALWAYS WATCHED EVERYTHING SHE DID, LOOKED STUFF UP ON THE INTERNET I MEAN I WAS OUTTA CONTROL, I THOUGH SHE WASNT GONNA WALK (EVEN THOUGH SHE DID EVERYTHING ON TIME FOR HER ADJUSTED AGE) PLEASE HAVE FAITH IN GOD, I MISSED OUT ON HER FIRST YEAR OF LIFE BECAUSE I WAS TO BUSY THINKING AND WATCHING WHAT MIGHT GO WRONG! THE DOCTORS WERE AGAINST HER! AND MY GOD SHE IS PERFECT AND SOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL! PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS LET ME KNOW

That is FANTASTIC news. I'm so excited for you and for Katelyn. Your little girl is a fighter and clearly not a fan of hospitals, she wants to check out her new digs. I think having her home is kind of the ultimate birthday present - although don't tell Ken that, he still needs to buy you something.
Keep us posted on her progress - - and don't forget to post more pictures! What does she weigh now?
I can't believe she's making it home on the first of April - that is so amazing and wonderful!

Happy birthday. welcome to 40! wonderful news on your baby. HOld her all the time if it makes you feel better. You'll be fine. My baby is 6 months old and we still want him in my room. She wont know herself!
