My mood while writing this blog: Ok |
Sooo, in 7 weeks or less I will be a mom. I'll be bringing my new baby home from the hospital for ME to take care of...
I have never changed a diaper
Never made bottles or fed a baby
Never changed a babies clothes
Never gave a baby a bath
I really haven't ever done anything but hold a baby...what am I going to do!?!?!?
My bf will be here to help me but...what does he know about taking care of a baby.

Monday, 5 Oct Does your hospital or OB office offer a Newborn Care Class? I made my husband take the class with me in 2005..It was his first child ( i had my first child in 1998 )...It really helped, it had been about 6 years since I took care of a baby, and my husband never had. So i totally recommend taking a newborn care class to any new mommies and daddies...We got to do all that you listed, but with a doll. We bathed, fed, burped, changed all that with a life like doll and it was really neat. I was 22 when i had my first child and I wish i had taken a class then, cause I felt the same way you feel now. Good luck and hugs to you! BabySaunders -

Sunday, 4 Oct Get one of the those newborn books that tells you basically everything about a new born up to the first year of life.....also try looking into taking a baby prep class with bf usually given by the hosp. They will both have helpful tips but it will come naturally and the nurses at the hosp after you have her will be there to give advice and show you all the important stuff! You will have the hang of it in a matter of days! Amor y Respeto -
