22-10-2009 - 35 week appt

My mood while writing this blog:

I went to my 35 week appt today. My weight was 130.6 When I went into the room the lady told me to undress from the waist down...I was thinking oh great. I wasn't expecting them to do anything today so I got really nervous...my hands started sweating and my legs...stomach everything. Then my butt started sticking to the paper lol and I started getting the urge to go pee. I felt really uncomfortable. Well he just did that strep b test, it wasn't that bad. I go back in two weeks and then I start going every week. He said he will start checking my cervix at my next visit. Now that it's getting closer to delivery I am starting to get really scared about it all. How am I going to deliver a baby? Am I even going to make it outta that place alive. Is there anything I can do to make delivering a little bit better...like walk everyday or something? I got one of those swaddler blanket things...I tried it out on a baby doll, I think I swaddled it pretty good, lol. Not so sure that it will be that easy on my baby girl though.

When should I put the car seat in? I don't have any instructions since it was given to me and the ones on the side dont make any sense so I was going to take it by the fire department and let them do it, plus they make sure it's in there really good.

Maybe a week before your due date....I was gonna suggest police department or fire!

They say you shouldn't put the carseat in too early because if you get in an accident (before baby is born) then the carseat is considered damaged.

start drinking raspberry tea leaf it will shorten labor and make it less painfull I drink about two cups per day:)Plus its full of iron and vitamin c:)

Lol, it is getting closer. You don't have to worry about a thing. Your body knows how to deliver a baby, don't worry...worry is what will get in your way if anything. I'm taking the strep b test at my next visit, but my midwife gives me a swab and I do it myself in the bathroom...I like it like that. I think the best way to prepare for labor is to really get your fears out now and help yourself to believe that you can do and you will do it....we are all out here cheering for yah!
