My mood while writing this blog: Tired |
Well most of you know I have had a high risk pregnancy, have been on bedrest since 16 wks, and visit my Dr and MFM pretty much weekly. Well this week while having my weekly NST done my baby girl's heartrate was pretty low and not spiking like they wanted to see. They gave me cold water to drink but that didn't help at all. They also had my mom bring in my 11 mo old son and hope she would move around upon hearing his babbling/laughing/fussing. Still nothing. So my Dr sent me to the hospital to get monitored there. By now it was after lunch, so she wanted me to stop and eat lunch and also have a little caffeine before going to the hospital. So I did and then checked into the hospital. After a full meal. a little bit of caffeinated iced tea, PLUS fruit juice she STILL wasn't moving much and her heart rate was low. So they tell me they need to check her breathing and quickly sent me for biophysical ultrasound. I was soo nervous at this point, hoping there were no issues with her heart or possibly be entangled in her cord. Thankfully she scored in the normal range on the biophysical profile and they said everything looks ok. The only thing they can think of is that she was in an "extended period of sleep." WTH??? All this worry and she's in a deep sleep?? I'm thankful that's all they think it was, but am glad I go see the specialist tomorrow for another ultrasound. I'm still a little worried... has this ever happened to any of you???
On another note, house renovations are DONE as of yesterday. We can finally live in our house again like a normal family. This also means that we can finish the nursery :) It couldn't come soon enough either bc my c/s is scheduled in 4.5 weeks!! Time is flying by......

Thursday, 27 Aug I'm glad everything is ok! I would have been scared as well. My little one moves constantly , I rarely ever have a break in kickings! That's a good thing though. I think once she didn't move half the morning and it freaked me out but she finally moved after poking around on my belly a bit. Hopefully all goes well at your u/s tomorrow! emilyz77 -
Thursday, 27 Aug I know that must have been scary for you. I'm glad they monitor you like they do! I'll be thinking of you. I remember my friend going throught he same thing. She had a buzzer during her NST and her little girl still never responded. Well, now she is a very active 2 year old! I guess we just never know exactly what they are up to in there! stelabela0507 -

Thursday, 27 Aug Awww, she was sleepy. Rest assured that your precious angel is completely fine. As you have, i've learned that these babies pretty much do what they want (this is my 3rd time being on bedrest). Relaxe and enjoy your last 4 weeks....count down time :) claire louise -

Thursday, 27 Aug Poor girl just wants to get some shut eye and everyone is trying to wake her up-I know it's not funny and I'm sure it's very frustrating and extremely scary but all I can picture is her in there happy as pie dreaming away not knowing the fuss she is causing. I'm glad you have another u/s appointment to put you and your Dr's at ease and I'm very glad it's nothing serious!!! 4.5 weeks left...it's right around the corner!!!!!!!!
