19-3-2010 - Very Concerned-Please Help!

Ladies I could really use your opinions/advice. After somewhat of a stressful day I took a warm bath. While I was in the tub I rembered that at 22 weeks you should have colostrum. Sorry for the TMI but I gently checked to see if there was any colostrum. In my left breast colostrum came out. But when I did the same to my right breast very dark blood oozed out from this one spot. My right breast is actually quite sore.

There is colostrum coming out of pores in my right breast, but the blood always oozes out from the same pore. I'm worried that it could be an infected gland. Not to be dramatic but I have also heard this could be a sign of breast cancer. Though I don't know.

I'm going to see my GP come monday. Can you please help. Has anyone experienced this? And if so was it serious? Did you need antibiotics. what is it?

I don't know if this helps but I fed my son (who is now 15 months old) for about 4 months before I completely stopped breast feeding.

gees hun all i can offer is my only thought is that it could posibly be a blocked milk duct hopefully not to seriously infected so gooldluck with the doc tomoz

Precious I understand the concern and I too am concerned. Don't have any knowledge of this, but of course I will pray that your monday appt is eventful with information, and that it is something that is none to minor. Pray lady, all will work out. I have a new saying that I made up " The sky is the limit, but Blessings are beyond". So don't stress, give it to the Lord and you will see that He has the answer and way.

I have never had this happen so idk but from what ive heard it sounds like an infection to me. Please try not to stress, its not good for you or the baby. Monday is right around the corner. Try to relax and think good thoughts im sure everything is fine. Im praying that everything is ok.

never heard of it but u sound extremely stressed. Monday is not 2 far away, i know it'll feel like an eternity but freaking out over something u can do nothing over right now is only gonna make things worse. think of it this way, whether its an infected gland or someting else, at least u know that something is going on!!
