07-6-2009 - Tested Today...

BFN. Was both surprised and not surpised. I'm on CD 23 of a 23/24 day cycle, and about 12/13 DPO. I used First Response, but after I did the test I noticed it expired in August last year. I only bought the 7 day ovulation test kit with the bonus HPT like 2 months ago, and the OPKs weren't expired. Hmm, bit strange how the HPT was expired but the OPKs weren't when they were all in the same box.

Anywho, things are weird this cycle atm. AF is due either tomorrow or Wednesday, and my BBs are not sore at all, not even the tiniest bit - VERY unusual for me. I been feeling crampy a little, and each time I've felt my CP over the past few days it feels like it's getting higher and higher. Haven't checked it in 2 days, so it could have come back down. I have a huge appetite - yesterday I was bloated for most of the day as I just didn't stop eating until I was bloated, and as soon as I didn't feel bloated I ate more just to feel bloated - I hate being bloated, but just couldn't help it.

So, given that my symptoms are strange for me, and that the HPT was expired, I'm going to see if AF turns up in the next couple of days or not. If not, I will buy another HPT on Thursday and test.

And now for the question - given that the HPT was expired and said BFN, I know that it's not right to go by the result, so I won't. However, taking into account what the result was, and what my symptoms are atm, what do you ladies think the chances are of be being preggo are? Has anyone ended up pregnant after getting a BFN on an expired test so close to AF's arrival?

Oh, by the way, just thought I'd let you all know I had a wonderful birthday party. I got tipsy enough to have to take me heels off since they are new shoes that cost $100 (birthday present from Michael) and I didn't want to either break the heel or break my ankle. Here's what I drank - 4 x 6.5% guava flavoured cruiser blacks (vodka), 6 x CS Cowboy shots (total of 2.5 standard drinks), and 2 x Jagerbombs (one of which was in too big of a glass and half spilt all over me, while my mum watched me). It feels great to be 19 - I feel like people won't see me as immature as they may have when I was 18, and will hopefully start taking me seriously over the fact I want to have a baby (and by people, I mean the people I know away from here, since I know 98% of you support me).
