| 15-10-2009 - Just want to clarify... | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
I just wanted to clarify what I meant by not being able to drive after my blood work.
What I meant was that I was told by the person doing it that they recommend doing as little with the arm you get the blood drawn from for that day to minimise the about of bruising. I drive manual (or stick shift, whichever you prefer to call it) so doing that straight after getting bloodwork will no doubt give me some bruising (in Australia, our cars are right-hand drive so I change gears with my left hand which is the arm I will be getting the blood drawn from since I'm right-handed). Not only that, I have to fast (no idea why though, doc just wants me to) and they'll steal about 6-7 vials of my blood, and last time I almost passed out, so driving straight afterwards isn't the best idea for me, which is the main reason I want someone else to take me.
I am telling my dad in the morning as him and my mum are going to the bank at 9.30 for stuff, so I will try and get dad to take me to the doctors to get the bloodwork at 8 when the place opens so we get home in time for him and mum to go. I'll get dad to tell mum while they're out because I want her to not have a go at me for not getting my rubella shot before getting preggo this time, I don't need the stress as I've seen first hand what that does to my blood pressure.
That's all for now, sorry I'm blogging so often.
What do you think - boy or girl? Find out on the 15th....
