| 17-12-2009 - 15 weeks | My mood while writing this blog:Pretty happy |
Hello ladies! How are you all? I hope you are all well.
So I'm 15 weeks today, woohoo! I have exactly 4 weeks now until I find out the sex, and I couldn't be more excited and impatient! It's going faster than I thought, but still not fast enough! I will hopefully be able to use my doppler again in a few days, I have a boil that is very much in the healing process just above my pubic region, so once it is no longer an open wound I will be attempting to find the heartbeat again. I also have another boil on my right leg below my knee that I have been given safe antibiotics for, and that should be well on its way to healing within a week. I think I still have the bacteria that causes boils in my blood, plus the fact I need more iron now that I'm pregnant (I've got low iron) and I've been stressing a lot lately is all contributing to me having these boils. I pray that once these two are gone I won't get anymore during this pregnancy, they are a total pain!
My mum rang the hospital I want to go to, and asked them if they'll still admit me without blood work an they will, but I will still need to get blood taken before I go into labour so that they know for sure my blood group and my antibodies and such. My mum explained to the midwife that she spoke to that they may have to give me laughing gas to make me a little high (safely obviously, she made sure it was safe during this part of pregnancy) so that I can get my blood taken at the hospital, and the midwife said that 'they usually don't do that' and mum said that they might have to. The midwife also told them that my doctor is the one who will have to organise that, not the hospital, so when I see my doctor on Jan 6th I will get my mum to tell her about that and see what she can do. So that has taken a lot of stress off of me, but there's still a fair bit on me, which isn't too bad really.
I got my hair cut yesterday, and I love it so much! My hair was really long (like at the bottom of the small of my back, almost to where my pants sit on my hips), and now it's about where my bra sits, but it feels so much better and healthier and omg I just love it! My hair is growing really fast right now though, so it'll probably be close to original length by the end of my pregnancy anyways - it had already grown about an inch or so since I found out I was pregnant, which is quite a bit really.
I still have absolutely no need for maternity clothes yet, probably because I'm a bit on the chunky side so most of my clothes are pretty loose fitting anyways. It's been a bit difficult for me to feel the top of my uterus lately because the boil has been in the way. I assume it's normal, but my lower abdominal muscles (like from just above my belly button down) all feel tender when I poke at them - I assume this is just my body getting ready to go through some major changes?
I just can't wait til I can feel bub moving properly, because I hardly even feel pregnant - apart from the need to pee a lot. The nausea is gone unless I get super hungry, my boobs are no longer tender and haven't been for awhile, I'm not as exhausted as I was before, and since I'm still wearing my normal clothes, I really don't feel pregnant at all. I'm hoping by Christmas (which is only 7 days away), when I'll be exactly 16 weeks, that I'll be able to feel my uterus well, and I'm hoping I might have a slight bump, even if it's that small that it's only visible when I'm naked.
Well this has been quite a long blog. If any of you can tell me what you were feeling like at 15 weeks, it would be appreciated. If I don't get on to blog on Christmas day, I hope you all have a great Christmas, and take care!
What do you think - boy or girl? Find out on the 15th....
