| 15-1-2010 - 19 weeks <3 | My mood while writing this blog:Ecstatic |
So ladies, how are you all? Hope you are all doing well!
19 weeks for me today, and I am excited and proud to announce that we are having a little GIRL!!! All in all, 4 u/s technicians told us we are having a girl, plus during the first ultrasound every time the tech was looking at the legs I saw those 3 lines perfectly clear. The first ultrasound lasted a bit longer than an hour as the tech was still in training, but even he was pretty certain it was a girl, but he got his colleague to come in and get a couple of pics he was having trouble with, and she said girl as well. Then the ultrasound I had today, the tech doing the u/s and the one doing the report whilst looking at the u/s on the screen near her both thought girl, so that was great. Got 4 pics from the first scan, and 8 from the second, and got given a disc from the second but they screwed up the disc and cos it's complimentary there's nothing they can do about it. I'm pretty pissed off about that, but oh well, I'll just make sure the disc is done properly when I get my 3D/4D scan done in about 7 weeks - at a different place - as that one will be too much money to have the same thing happen.
I'll scan in the pictures sometime soon and upload them as soon as they're done. They pics aren't the best because she's a little stubborn and shy and didn't want to cooperate at either ultrasound - at the first I had to jump up and down a few times to get her to try and move into a better spot, and she didn't move much - I think she's found her comfortable spot and doesn't wanna move from it. I've noticed over these past few days as well that when I have a full bladder she likes using it as a punching bag - it's cute but a little annoying. I have felt her kick my hand twice this past week, both times whilst laying down minding my own business, but her movements are changing a lot - from the light flutters to feeling her press up against my womb - I'm missing a lot of her movements because I'm still not used to the change in how they feel, but I can't wait for her to get bigger so I feel a lot more of her kicks.
She is growing well, no doubt about that. Finding out that she was a girl has been the highlight of the week for sure. Everyone is so happy for us, that we are having a little girl, and we are ecstatic that we are blessed with a little girl, especially since we wanted a girl over a boy - but she's healthy and that's all that matters.
We have a name picked out as of right now, and I like it but don't really want to name her what we've chosen because the name is too popular, so I'm going to try and talk Michael into the name I like better, but we'll see what happens. My new belly pics are up, couldn't get very good photos this week - I'm super tired and bloated from eating waaaay too much food today, but they are up anyways.
Take care everyone, and I will update you all again next Friday!
What do you think - boy or girl? Find out on the 15th....
