| 01-8-2008 - End of 28 week appointment | My mood while writing this blog:Relaxed...happy...content |
So today we had our end of 28 week appointment. The last time we had seen our little one was June 17th! So we were very anxious and awaiting this appointment for a while.
All is very well with our little Isabella. She now weighs 1.5 kilos! And she has started turning more often. I figured as much as I am getting stronger kicks up beneath my ribs. The doctor said the stronger kicks are her feet/legs and according to the u/s - her feet are up and her head is down. She still has time to keep turning but we hope she will take this position when she is supposed to!
According to her measurements, she is measuring one week ahead of our original EDD. For now this is fine but when I go back in a few weeks, we don't want to see this increase. My DH and I are somehow convinced that she is going to enter this world on October 14th - exactly 6 years to the date that her mommy and daddy saw each other for the first time! If you read my profile, you would understand what that means! We shall see if this happens - how ironic if it does!
I have been monitoring my blood sugar all week and the results are good but I am still to monitor for the rest of the pregnancy. All carbs are officially out - they give me a sugar spike. I have to limit my fruits to 1 a day (will be soooooo hard as I can't get enough of fruit these days) and sugar in general is a no no. We are more worried about the last month more than anything. But I'll do anything necessary to keep it under wraps until she is here.
Tuesday I will be home collecting my urine - for 24 hours! How lovely is this? Wednesday I take it to the lab and will do general blood tests again.
And that is it - the good report that we wanted about our Isabella. I didn't weigh myself - I really don't want to know how much I've gained although I suspect it's about 10 kilos. But the number regardless will just stress me out - LOL. Luckily, my doctor saw reason to push me to get weighed - God bless her!!!
Till next time!
