25-9-2008 - 36 week appointment

My mood while writing this blog: Excited

Yesterday we had our 36 week and 4 day appointment, although she is still measuring ahead at 37 weeks and 5 days. Our Isabella is 3 kilos now, will be quite tall apparently (after the doctor measured her fermur bone and was amazed at the length) and doing very well. Heartbeat steady at 148. And I had some spikes in small contractions which is a good thing! Things are happening in there although the main show isn't about to start yet! Isabella is still a little high and I have to walk more to get her to drop down.

I must go every 4 days now to listen to her heart and monitor for contractions. We are 15 days away from our induction date on October 10th but my doctor said that we will push it as much as we can day-by-day depending on how much she grows until then. It's estimated she will gain roughly 200 grams a week and we don't want to go over 3 1/2 kilos - let's see!

Sugar readings are all over the place this late in the pregnancy - nothing much I can do about it but keep monitoring!

Her furniture arrives next Thursday and I can't wait to put her room together finally! I have all her clothes washed and waiting - by next weekend, her room will be done and everything in it's place!

All in all - we are waiting! I'm excited and senitmental - will miss being pregnant as it's been one of the best experiences of my life and I'm so blessed to have been able to experience it. But, I can't wait to begin our life with our sweet Isabella very soon.

Today is my baby shower I didn't think I was having since my family is in Canada. But my dear, sweet English friends (and 1 Canadian and 1 Australian) will have one for me today!! Very excited!!
