20-7-2009 - Crawling, climbing and standing

My mood while writing this blog: Tired

So not only has my Isabella reached the crawling milestone (in early June) - she also has started climbing everything and she mastered standing last weekend too! Now I have a problem with how to keep her entertained!!

She won't sit for long in her high chair - it of course is vinyl and she sweats so much! She won't sit in her relax chair that is now a "big girl" chair (is good till she's 18kg) and playing with one of her jungle gyms doesn't work either! As for a playpen - forget - she wants absolutely nothing to do with it!

So how do you keep your little one entertained when all they want to do is crawl, climb and cruise/walk??? I don't have room for an exer-saucer nor do I have room for any other device that moves when they walk. I know most are banned but there are a few that have made a come back at Mother Care through Fisher Price.

She's 9 months and 1 week old now and I easily see her walking before her 1st birthday. But before she wears mummy out - any ideas ladies? I live in an apartment so backyard options are out. I also live in Greece - we do not have green parks like in the US or Canada (which I am missing so damn much right now!!) - kids playgrounds here are made of concrete or sand!!! Can't figure that out to be honest!!!
