| 02-10-2008 - PLEASE READ A.S.A.P |  My mood while writing this blog:hopefull that god will answer my prayers |
as i write this my heart is braking inside for my little girl who is 2 and a half years old . if you have read my pass blogs you will know what has been going on with her . but if not then here it goes to make a long story short . i was told that zoey had senory intagration disorder she has been getting many services as (d-t ) (s-t) (o-t) (b-t) . then she was in the hospatil for having bad constaption . getting that out of the way she now has to see a ( g.i ) doctor . we have a appointment later on this month . i was told not to long ago that zoey has mild autism . she has had 3 hearing test which in two she had negative ear pressure in one of her ears i was told that even so she past her hearing test . but i and the other doctors didnt agree about what was told on the hearing test that she has had done . i toke her to get another hearing test and they said that is possiable that zoey has lost some hearing in the past but they arent sure if she has or not or if she is going to lose anymore if she has . i was told that zoey has to get a test done were she has to be put to sleep its stem brain something like that . i am asking for your prayers for my little girl zoey . i belive in god and i know that with him all is possiable . this year has yet been the hardest for me . as soon as i feel like i can handle what i am going trough here comes something eles . its hard because i feel alone and i want to help my little girl it hurts that she has soo much going on with her . i feel helpless because i wish there was something i can do to make all the wrong go away . but i love her no matter what and i will always be here for her . i know god will do whats best and that he is here for me with out him or my kids i wouldnt be able to cope with whats going on with her . seening her smile takes away any bad in my life . i feel bless to have her in my life as i do my other beautiful children . sorry for it being so long . thanks for reading . god bless

Hey, I just read your blog. My little girl Buffy, she will be 2 in november. When she was first born, she failed the newborn hearing test at the hospital. So we kept having to take her to the hearing doctor and she failed them. Finally her pediatrician sent us to an ENT doctor and she put tubes in my daughter's ears because she had a lot of fluid in her ears. And even after they put the tubes in they tested her and she still failed. Finally when ,my little girl was 9 months old, they decided that an ABR test would be better, Auditory Brainstem Response test. And it's not that bad, when my little girl went they started an IV in her and then gave her some kind of medicine that looked white and as soon as they gave it to her she was knocked out and then we had to leave the room and it doesn't take that long. When they got done, they came and got us and our little girl was awake. She passed the test but we think that we made need to do a reevaluation on her to be sure. But I will keep your little girl in my prayers. Keep me updated please!

Take a deep breath :) I know its hard. My oldest son had the hearing test that deals with the brain stem. Not a big deal. Its noninvasive and will be done before you know it. But sedation is a scary thing...I know.

hey hun i am praying for little zoey and the rest of the family. i hope ur little girl starts to feel much better really soon and that there is nothing but good test results from these test. keep me posted and let me know. take care hun and sorry ur family is going through some hard stuff.

I just happened to read your story. I am an education major and havetaken many classes on autism and special needs. I am by far no expert on the subject, but I can offer personal insight and recent research. My little brother was deaf for a year before my parents ever knew. This was in the 90s. He underwent surgery and was able to hear. With the help of a speeh pathologist he was able to talk years behind the norm. He is borderline mentally retarted, but a wonderful boy. He is 18 now but really 13. He is happy and lives life to the fullest. Just because your daughter is sick right now does not mean she is permantely damaged. And if she has autism.. So what. She will make it through life and she will be happy. Don't stress... They have great research programs available and wonderful teachers.

oh hun zoey is in my prayers and my son have to go through the same procedure,he already had 4 hearing test done and he's going back in dec for his follow up and then we are discussing about him getting sedated and the procedure takes 4hrs,i will continue to pray for your daughter and family and i hope you do the same for me.
