04-2-2010 - Hypertension????

My mood while writing this blog: Oh gosh!

OK so I went to my PCP on Monday. He is our new PCP and it was our first visit. I know him from my job because I work at a hospital and he is very nice (and cute). So when they brought me back they did my blood pressure and all that junk. Well they said my BP was very high ( I can't remember what it was) so they said they would take it again after my appt. So the doctor comes in and we chit- chat about work and stuff. And he is so cool! I told him I was having really bad headaches so he said that he would give me a Rx for it to try. Then I said that I get some pains after I do my shots for Lupus and nothing really works so he said that he would give me something for that too. And some Rx strength hydrocortisone for my spots from the winter my skin gets pretty bad. So after all that he said that they would come back in and take my BP again. So the girl came in and took it on both arms then went and got someone else and she took it and said it was really high. SO he came back in and said it was really high and that I need to keep an eye on it for a couple weeks and to let him know. So yesterday while at work I went to one of the floors and had them take my Bp and it was 164/102!!!!! Hypertension does run in my family. But it just drives me nuts. I am 24 and have Lupus, RA, Psoriatic Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Infertility and now high blood pressure?? UGH! Sometimes I wonder what I am supposed to do. People my age are usually just getting married and starting a family or still treating life like a party. It just sucks... Bad! I try to keep a positive attitude and a lot of you know that but just when I think this might be my year to get pregnant something comes up. Anyways thanks for listening!
