24-7-2009 - HELP QUICK!!!!! PLEASE!!!

Ok Ladies..

My family and I are leaving to go to Atlanta today ( in like 4 hours) for a huge family gathering.Well my cousin just called and told me that my first love is also coming to this gathering, He will be there tonight . He is staying the whole weekened also. We are all supposed to go out tonight and to find out first love is coming also. The problem is my hubby was breifed about my first love when we first met and we left it alone after that. But how do I tell my hubby that first love is going to be down there on top of being down there the whole weekend also. Do I tell him before we leave? Or do I wait until after the weekend is over. My hubby is kinda jealous but I know it will have him on pins and needles and probably be uncompfortable. But I don't want him to find out from someone else.... WHAT DO I DO????!!! HELLLLLPPP!!!

Well if I was in your shoes, I would tell him NOW. I dont believe in hiding anything from spouses. I think it is better to forewarn him, but we are you and cant decide for you, but I think in both of your best interests its best to tell him now rather than later or act like you didnt know, You never know, your cousin might slip up and say something on accident and your husband will find out that you knew all along.

I personally would tell him that he is going to be down there. If he finds out later that you knew he was going to be there he may feel as if you lied about it.

I think you should tell him before you leave, that way it want be a shocker to him to see "your first love". He is your husbands and you guys should have a trusting and open relationship and you shouldnt hide anything from each other. Im sure its no big deal so go ahead and give him the heads up. BTW have a great time on your trip!

i agree, act like you didnt know, and explain to him when you get there who he is, if you act like its no big deal and your not interested in your"first love" then he will probably act the same way! good luck

if you are a good actor don't tell him act just as surprised as he does. If he can read you like hubby can sometimes I would just tell him in a way that it seems like its no big deal. Don't just mention him try and mention a few other peopl you heard was coming. this takes all the focus off of the ex. good luck my hubby is super jealous too.
