| 22-3-2009 - Baby Update! Caeden is here! | My mood while writing this blog:GREAT!!! |
Hey Everyone! I feel like it has taken me forever to write! But as you ALL know getting on here immediately after having a baby is a challange! So here is my tale:
We went in Tuesday to be induced at 5AM... we got there and started the drip..LOL! By 9:30 we had a change of plans. We had a test done the previous week on an irritation I had... turns out it was a bacteria infection. The test results didn't come back till Tuesday... So my doctor came in with the change of plans. I stopped the inducing and we went in for a c-section. The good thing is I had a nurse working that day that is a very close friend that got to be with us the whole time. So by 10:30 I was getting my spinal and getting anxious. My husband came in and watched the whole thing. And I don't know if i just have a high tolerance for pain.. but the section went really easy. They made a very small incision and squeezed my little guy out with very little trouble. He was being quite the mover and was not ready to come out..so they had to use the vaccum (not happy about), but he came out quickly. By 10:57 AM... my son was born! I got to see that little blue/purple body squirming in my doctor's hands and I just went into instant tears. My husband was a mess too. He was just screaming and it was awesome. I stayed pretty alert through the whole thing. I only got a little nauseous once. After they got him all wiped off he went with my husband to the nursery... where my husband cried with joy as he showed him off ot our family and friends. : ) My precious angel weighed a lucky 7 pounds 7 ounces... LOVE IT!!! I went into recovery and was doing great. I got to feed my little bundle in recovery and hold him for the first time. It was AMAZING!!!!
After that... My husband and I just spent the next couple of hours having people in and out and that night we allowed our little man to go to the nursery for a little while to get sleep... Tuesday I had to get up for the first time... It hurt.. but not that bad.. by that night I was making my walk...but struggled through that. Stilll I made the effort... by Thursday noon I was having my staples removed, taped up and getting Caeden discharged to go home... It was great.
Everything now is going just beautifully... Caeden eats every 3 hours sleeps in between mostly and is absolutely beautiful to stare at all day. Recovery is going okay... I am sore, not going to lie. And I am ready to be back to myself.
On a side note - I want to thank each and every one of you on here for being with me through all of this and being such a pleasure to talk to. I couldn't have been okay without you all. My heart holds a special place for everyone of you!! If I could ever get all of us together for hugs, pictures, and what not... I would. I plan to stay on this website and keep close with as many of you as possible. I consider you all very good friends. I pray that all of you are enjoying your little ones or will be soon and PRAY with all my heart that everything is as perfect as it can be for you all. There is a lot more I could say... but the screen is getting blurry with all the tears in my eyes from all the emotions I feel right now! : ) Thanks Everyone!!!
