| 28-8-2009 - 2 weeks til induction-long update-more bored blogging | My mood while writing this blog:waiting. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
with only 14 more days until i meet the little person thats been punching & bruising my insides, i am becoming more anxious. it's not that im 'tired of being preggers' or 'ready for it to be over'. . because i love being preggers, but the pressure on my insides is getting more painful.
i cant sleep. thats not an option. i cant lay on 1 side for very long. i sleep anywhere from 30 minutes-2 hours before i become so uncomfortable that i can no longer stand the pain & must move. but moving takes a lot of effort. if i try to move my entire body by pushing over with 1 leg its excrutiating pain for my hip & side. my hip snaps, crackles & pops like rice krispies trying to turn over which is another pain all in itself. my hip also pops walking & sometimes going from sitting to standing. ouch.
the box-fan daddy bought when our air-conditioner went out a couple months ago has become my best friend. i have the air conditioner going, the ceiling fan & the box-fan all pointed at me. at night i bring the box-fan into my room at night & play 'freeze-out' with daddy. because if i dont, my sleeping gets even less-frequent. i already have to get up 2-3 times a night just to use the bathroom & mulitiple times for the rolling over, without that fan i might as well stay up all night. its almost miserable.
i miss my 'mommy line'. with my oldest daughter, my mommy line went from my panty line up past my belly button & 1/2 way up to my chest. for the longest time, i didnt think i even had 1 with this baby, but looking in a full-length mirror the other day i realized i have one, but it's very short. it doesnt even go all the way up to my belly button.
went to our NST check-up yesterday. they strapped me to the monitor & walked out. that table is awful. i had to move around several times because of the pinching feeling in my back. i hadnt eaten breakfast so she wasnt as active as they wanted her to be. she was active all that morning, but she usually takes her nap around 9-9:30 or so (which is when we were at the doctor).
i REALLY wanted the doc to check me for more dialation. i was checked last thursday & was already at 1. . and i asked him to, but he refused saying it wasnt necessary since i wasnt 38 weeks & my induction date was already set. "it doesnt matter". jerk. ya know. . . theres always that possibility i wont make it til induction day & with some of these contractions ive had, id like to keep an eye on that dialation factor so i have some sort of idea of whether i will make it that far or not. this is my 3rd baby & the nurse practitioner even says my cervix isnt as hard as it was in the first pregnancy & that theres always that potential. but i see her again next monday on ultrasound day & i know she will check me again. she understands.
i still have the itchy skin. but now its more intensified due to being outside & the bugs ate me alive ! so now i have bug bites all over my legs & ankles & even on my belly. i tried putting the pink calamine lotion on them & sometimes it works, but sometimes they still itch, or the regular itchy skin i have been having makes me scratch & i end up scratching a bug bite on accident. i tried to numb the bites with ice, but you cant do that on the bites on your belly !! lol. the baby kicked & moved & was reacting wildly trying to get away from the very cold temp change. it was hilarious ! that is the kind of stuff i will miss once she is born.
my mom & mom-in-law text or call every couple of days or so just to check & see how we are doing. they are very excited about the new baby being so close to being here.
my boobs have become more sore in the past week. especially the right one. the left one is sore, but the right one is eager to go & has leaked more (which has also caused it to fill up more, becoming almost engorged). . but the actual "milk" has not come in, since there is no baby here nursing yet, so they are still kind of small. i am not concerned with it. i know once Adisyn is born they will swell & get HUGE ! lol.
i dont think daddy has ever put a carseat into a vehicle, so i offered to put it in for him before we head to the hospital. there is NO WAY i will be able to help him after my c-section. but he says he is up to the challenge ! so i am all for supporting him. im sure he'll be able to get it, hes smart.
i am kind of concerned about how my puppy will react during the time i will be away from home in the hospital. well. . . i say puppy. hes over a year old now. but he has been my baby since he was 5 1/2 weeks old. i am his mommy & he prefers me over ANYBODY else in the world. 2-3 days in the hospital will probably be torture for him. then when i come home, i will probably still be sore & worried over the new baby & i know he will be excited to see me. i dont want to make him feel bad & push him away, because unlike my kids i cant explain to him WHY i dont have time to "mother" all over him. im sure he'll be ok. its just one of those little things im fretting over in my last 2 weeks.
although i have not hit a nesting phase like everyone says i will, i have been working on getting the house more organized & cleaned during the times when i feel better. although i tried to wash dishes the other day & couldnt stand there but for about 5 minutes before i started to feel dizzy. i cant remember if i hit a nesting phase with my oldest child, i know i had one with my second pregnancy.
i cant believe i only have 14 more days. how exciting.
