01-9-2009 - 38 week update

My mood while writing this blog: happy

woohoo ! 1st day in week 38. how exciting ! however i did get sick this morning. . but it was just stomach acid since i hadnt had a chance to eat anything. i was really hoping the 'morning sickness' would be over. lol.

we had lunch at cici's pizza over the weekend. that was fun ! i didnt eat any pizza, but i had pasta & a salad & a cinnamon roll. this little girl must have LOVED it, because she kicked & elbowed & had a ball while i was eating ! i think shes going to be a very happy baby.

im starting to get sick (great timing huh ?) my nose has been running for 2 days now & coughing & sneezing. my son has the same symptoms. my daughter & husband seem to be unaffected. i need to get over this cold before i go in for my c-section, because coughing & sneezing & all that junk after surgery is AWFUL !!!

my bag is almost completely packed ! i started packing it last week when i was having a lot of braxton-hicks contractions & got nervous. the only things i dont have packed are the things i use everyday (like my blanket & notebook that i keep all my baby info updates in). i love my blanket, but i havent been able to use it as much because my stomach skin has become so stretched out & tender that EVERYTHING scratches & irritates it. i had a maternity shirt on yesterday that had a tag in the inside seem. honestly ?? who made this shirt ?? it irritated my skin until it chaffed me. so now today i have a small 'cut' on my side :( ouch !

all my thank-you notes are done & i just need stamps to send them out. yesterday daddy's boss sent a present home for the baby. 2 adorable outsits & a VERY fuzzy soft blanket.

went to the doc yesterday & had an ultrasound. shes still doing good. she didnt want to practice her breathing & we sat & watched her for about 30 minutes to see if she would breathe. she eventually 'did'. they checked me for dialation & im still at 1cm so were still on track !

i can definetely tell im preggers because im getting so emotional. i have been watching a lot of 'birth' shows & things on tv. i was watching one yesterday & almost started crying. if i wasnt so close to having my own, i would DEFINETELY want to try to have one now ! it was so sweet ! babies hands are the cutest things in the world. the way they hold them out like they are stressed beyond belief & how they always look like they are trying to say "its cold & loud out here & i really wanna go back in my nice warm space again". i started thinking about when my 2 oldest children were babies & thats what made me almost cry. i cant wait to have her.

but i wont have to wait long ! the count-down has come to 9 days til we are going in for our c-section. just over a week until i can meet my new baby ! im so excited !
