23-9-2009 - And Then There Was Baby

My mood while writing this blog: Relieved !

So. . . We're all set up to go to the hospital Sept 10, around 11:00 to get checked in & are scheduled for the c-section at 1:00. apparently this was THE day. . because around 6:30-6:45 that morning i go into LABOR. are you kidding ?? how awesome is that ? it's like she knew & said "today is going to be my birthday, i might as well get this kick-started". i'm VERY uncomfortable in my bed (more so than i had been). . its hot, i cant lay down. i probably disturbed daddy a few times with all my complaining & moving.

after we get up & take the 2 older kids to school, we come back to the house & i try to lay down again for a while thinking "this will probably be my last nap til after i have the baby". but i cant sleep. im worried over the surgery, im still in pain, hot & uncomfy.

i havent been able to eat or drink anything since midnight. . and were scheduled at ONE ????? i knew that didnt help my situation at all. so daddy gave me some ice cold water anyway & that did make me feel better.

we already have everything packed & by the door ready to go. i take my final belly pic & do a sweep of the house just to make sure i havent forgotten anything. we pack the truck & by this time im in so much pain, we head on out a little early. get to the hospital around 10:30, get a room, gown, iv, and around 12:50 the doc comes in to see me then goes to prep for surgery.

at 2:04pm september 10th, Adisyn Elizabeth Raelynn Lilly was born. she was 6lbs 5oz & 20 inches long. her little brown hair was so long on the sides that it lapped over the tops of her tiny little ears. she was born with those beautiful little blue/grey eyes. shes completely perfect. i was VERY groggy from the drugs when i first got to hold her (and my pictures show it too !!). i barely even remember holding her, so although i look like crap, im glad we have those pics.

today she is officially 2 weeks old & more beautiful than ever. she attracts attention everywhere she goes & everybody thinks she is the cutest ! i know she is ! ;)
