09-10-2009 - 4 weeks old update !

My mood while writing this blog: proud mommy

adisyn is doing very well. shes growing & eating well & looking more beautiful everyday ! shes still breastfeeding well, although when she eats from her bottle she spits up quite a bit. im not sure if its the formula or if its how much shes getting from her bottle at one time. were going to switch out a couple nipples & then switch formula til we find the cause.

i picked her up earlier this week & noticed that right in the middle of the back of her neck right under her hair line is a reddish area. at first i thought it was me scratching her when i supported her head picking her up (i kind of have long nails) so ive been very careful not to scratch her & trying not to rub that spot & watching to make sure her clothes dont rub there, but it hasnt went away. so i started looking at it closer & noticed it kind of looks like the red spot on my sons thumb. when he was still in my belly he sucked his thumb so much & so hard its always been red. even now that hes 5 & doesnt suck his thumb its still red. (i know she cant suck the back of her neck, so. . . . . ) i believe i have found her birthmark ! how neat !

she smiles a little more everyday. i even sat her in her swing & she cooed at her mobile a couple of times. she cooed once the other day when i was talking to her. babies grow so fast ! ive had a few dreams where she was already walking & doing stuff & i woke up & ran in to check on her just to make sure she was still little. . weird i know.

shes a great burper. she can out-do me sometimes lol !

the kids are still doing very well adjusting to her & they are always eager to help me do anything. but now my daughter is running 100+ temperatures & im too nervous to let her near her little sister, so my poor haley has just about been confined to her room, which is so terrible ! i dont want her to feel left out, or pushed away. i just really cant afford this baby to get sick. my son got sick when he was close to the same age & was hospitalized for a whole week. awful !!! i HATE cold & flu season !
