| 14-10-2009 - okay, now im getting a little disstraught | My mood while writing this blog:unsure |
when my little adisyn was only a couple weeks old, daddys grandparents took everyone out to eat. there was a woman there who also had just had her baby, a pretty little girl. we got to talking & when i told her my babys name was adisyn she said that her & her husband almost named THEIR baby the same name (although probably spelled a little different) but she does ask me how i spelled it & i told her there was the 'syn' at the end & looks to her husband & says "see-see ?". i guess they had debated on the name a while & that was the spelling she wanted to go with. okay, close call, but the baby was renamed. thats cool. thats a foul ball.
my daughter is running a fever at school last week & as im there to pick her up, the nurse & i start talking about adisyn & then about babies & says someone in her family just had twins & one of the twins names was adisyn. i said, "oh, but i guarantee they arent spelled the same." she asks me if i went with the 'syn'. . . i kinda frown for a second & say yes & she almost cringes like she hates it. thats strike 1.
im looking on myspace today & there is a girl i used to work with a couple years ago & she announces she just had her baby-addisyn. strike 2.
i picked her name because i hadnt heard it but a time or 2 in my whole life. maddison is always popular, so i thought i was being creative with dropping the M & a D & everybody ALWAYS wants to spell her name with 'son' like at the doc & stuff. i try to get creative & here EVERYBODY else is doing the same thing ! with the same ending & everything.
when i named my oldest daughter haley, it was a popular name & when there were a couple other 'haleys' in her class i knew with this one i had to do something more 'non-popular'. . . . and SOMEHOW managed to do the opposite.
im not trying to bitch, in fact i ALMOST find it comical. but at the same time im just slightly -disheartened ??-not really the word i want to use. but im unsure of the real word that i need for this. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
