| 03-3-2009 - I tried, but it\'s out there | My mood while writing this blog:Optimistic |
So the news is out there, at only 6 weeks and 4 days. Aarrrgh, we could have done so much better than that. I had to go to the dentist today for a tooth ache (turned out to just be a problem with a nerve, no filling, yay), and I had to tell the dentist I was pregnant just in case I needed anesthetic etc, and the dentist is a family friend who also employs a lady who is the wife of a guy who works with my parents. So you see, once I'd told them, we started to worry that it would eventually get back to my parents that we're pregnant, before we felt it was time to tell them. I know that it's supposed to be patient confidentiality, but it's a small town and people talk, so we decided it was just better to beat everyone else to it. So it's out there.
I've made an appointment to see my GP on Saturday (no OB/GYN's in this lil town!), so I should get all my blood tests done and a quick ultrasound (which will hopefully confirm the existence of one or more babies, depending on the situation) and I'll need to talk to him about my blood pressure as well. DH is once again on my case about it. We tested it again today, it's 93/55, which is pretty low I'm told and a lot lower than last time, although to be honest, I'm not nearly as dizzy as I was just a couple of weeks ago.
This is kind of freaky actually, but we were at my MIL's for dinner tonight, and we were telling them about the new grandchild on the way. DH mentioned that we had the feeling it might be twins, and she said that she'd had a dream about twins, one boy and one girl. She didn't know who's they were or anything, just two little babies. I'm nearly at the point that if we're not having twins, I'll be disappointed, so I should really stop talking about it until we know for sure. But don't you think that's just crazy? Totally crazy. I've never been a huge believer in dreams ... now look at me!!
