Last night My husband did the sweetest thing! We were talking on the sofa and playing with our little girl, who was in the best mood all smiles, giggles and coos!
I looked at him talking and laughing at her and I said " Babe what are you gonna do when she is all grown up and you have to dance with her at her wedding?" He was holding our daughter and his whole expression changed. I swear I could see the pain in his heart at that instant! He quickly pulled our daughter to his face and sorta turned his face and said "No" kinda soft. I looked at him and realized he was brought to tears! I asked him kinda laughing "Are you crying babe?!" He started to giggle and kept talking to Layla saying things like " Momma talks about bad things" and " Momma tries to make your daddy cry" the whole time just kissing her and giggling. We both laughed and he gave me a kiss. It is the first time I truly got that he could love her as much as I do. I mean as a mom your love is so strong almost desperate it is hard to imagine anyone can love your baby as much as you. For goodness sake you carried it felt it move and delivered it! But at that moment I knew he felt the same desperate love that I do! I love him!
