24-1-2009 - Apartment/getting my life back

My mood while writing this blog: tired

My case worker found me an apartment that is within my budget, among other aspects which make me very excited. I'm so close to getting my life back in order. I'm so surprised to how I reacted to this...situation in my life. I just figured...things couldn't get worse, so why stress about it? It's as if some greater force knew what was good for me, and my child-to let what needs to be done and let it take its course.

I've also been journaling at the shelter (since Dora is constantly on), which is helping a ton. And the babies there aren't sick anymore, so no more 3am wake up calls (aka crying), I don't have to deal with that again for a few more months.

Has anyones heartburn taken a turn for the worse? I have crossed off so many things to the "things I CAN eat list"..you know things that didn't make me sick to my stomach are now giving me heartburn. YUCK!

Also-single mommas, I'm not jumping into anything (of course), but i've been hit on more in the last week than in the last year from single (NICE) men who know i'm pregnant. These hormones are like mating calls or something.

I had a kid at work (he's 9) ask another kid what happened to my belly...then his eyes got wide and he's like "OH MY GOD, she's pregnant", that was my FIRST person who's noticed...a 9 year old who was concerned about my growing belly. Cute.
