08-6-2008 - a really bad week

My mood while writing this blog: IN SO MUCH PAIN

well i have had a really really bad week so i am coming on here to vent!!!

it allstarted on

6/2-i woke up about 1230am with terrible pain in my upper right quadrant that tooting, pooping, and puking didnt help so i went into the er and they were convinced it was my gallbladder so they gave me hydrocodone (which took away the pain) and sent me home to have a sono done at 830am that morning...

6/3- went to my doc and found out that my sono was neg...showed everything was fine he wanted to do a pippita scan (where they shoot dye into your arm and then give you a ct scan to show how your gall bladder is functioning)

6/4- had very intense pain again that the hydrocodone wasnt helping with at all...it wasnt coming close to touching my pain...so around 2pm i went to the ER again and by 3pm was admitted to the hospital...they thought it was my gall bladder still but would have to wait for the morning to have the pippita scan...

6/5 - 8AM pippita scan was neg gall bladder seemed to be functioning fine...so now they didnt know what it was so we proceded with more tests...next test was an EGD test (where they shove a tube with a camera on the end down your throat to your tummy and take a look around)...this test was neg too.... next test was a reg abdominal ct scan...this was neg...

6/6- my doc, surgeon, and i were very frustrated at this point...we had no idea what was going on...did an x-ray and showed a little fluid down in lower abdomen but nothing significant...so surgeon sat down and talked realistically to me...she stated she starts with the minamally invasive and then goes to the more invasive tests...so the next day we would have a colonoscopy to check for tumors that could be causing this pain...

6/7~~ ok it was 845am and had spent the whole night with the side effects of the wonderful drink they give you...went down for my coloscopy...a different surgeon was working this time and before he began he asked me to explain what has been going on...so i started and when i got to the pippita scan he asked when they gave me the second shot did my pain come back if not even more intensely...and i toldhim yes...he said the 2nd shot was a drug that caused the gall bladder to contrant vigorously and he was convince i was with about 3% of the pop that has perfectly fine tests and scans and still have issues with my gall bladder...so he did my colonoscopy and then he informed my mom (i was totally out of it) that we would be going into surgery tomorrow...finally

6/8 ~~~ waiting to hear from my surgeon on when my surgery will be...but i hope it is soon...i am missing my babies...all three of them!!! will update later
