17-6-2008 - jacobi is 2 months

My mood while writing this blog:
happy

Jacobi james is 2 months old!!!!

we just got back from the doc and jacobi's 2month well baby check~

he weighs 9lbs 3oz__5th percentile

and is 21.75in long__10th percentile

he is doing great, the only thing he isnt doing that term babies would be doing is saying "ohh and ahh"

he got 5shots and 1oral vacc =(

he has also been on Similac Neosure + Breastmilk and after the surgery my Breastmilk supply is gone so we have been giving him only neosure for the past couple days!!!

but now he is graduating to Similac Advanced + 2 bottles of neosure a day

and he is still on the Poly-vi-sol vitamin for his enemia

so we wont go back to the pediatrician till Aug 14th (4months)

and we have our check up with the neonatology group next tues (june 24th)and they will hopefully give their all clear to take the moniter off for good...he hasnt had any attacks for like the past week and a half and when he does it is only when he eats...he has never stopped breathing or had brady heartbeat while sleeping or just sitting there...so i am comfortable enough to have him come off already!!! then he will be unplugged for the 1st time in his short little life!!!

ALL IN ALL I COULDNT BE MORE PROUD OR HAPPY WITH MY LITTLE MAN!!! HE HAS PROVED TO TRULY BE A BLESSING AND I TRULY CHERISH EVERY DAY I GET TO SPEND WITH MY ANGEL!!!

I am so glad to read that Jacobi is doing so well. I'm sure it is difficult to be patient with the developmental milestones knowing that he will be a little behind. At Darwin's 2 week checkup his doc asked me if he was holding eye contact and I was like, "Ummm... No... Is that OK?" She told me that since he was 3 weeks early it could take 3 more weeks for him to begin to hold eye contact. A week later he was doing it, so I was relieved that he isn't too far behind...

Wow... He's huge already! Imagine how big he would have been if you'd gone to 40 weeks! Today's my due date, and my little man is almost a month old. The last time I weighed him he was 7 lbs 4 oz. He still looks so tiny to me, but he's definately getting stronger. Was the surgery just exploritory, or did they find out what was causing your pain before hand. I'm so sorry that you had to go through that again, just weeks after your c-section. Hope you're doing well. :-)

Yay, Jacobi!! What great news that he is doing so well. Michael is starting to do some of the things they ask about at the check-up, but not regularly. He smiles in his sleep but I am waiting for him to be more interactive. I will say a prayer that Jacobi gets to be monitor free!! that will be huge cause for celebration!!
