27-10-2009 - Oct Doc visit

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Today we went for my 27th week doc visit. I was running late which in the end ended up being a good thing cause when I got there I only sat down and was called in :D Well when I walked in the nurse obviously noticed my gut got HUGE in the past month. She had made a comment that there is no way I didnt gain weight this time and I agreed. SUPRISE I lost another 2 lbs!!! Now I know it is just me and the baby so I am totally okay with it. So far I think I have lost almost 15lbs since getting prego. Moving on form that it was the same ol, take my blood pressure which was actually lower than last time and telling them I once again forgot my pee sample hehe.

Doc came in said we were going to do a glucose test but I told him I didnt want to today...that drink sux!! So I will be doing it in 2 weeks when I go back for my next visit.

I have to admit that even in the polls I have been totally against getting any of the shots that have been going around aka the flu and the H1N1. Yesterday I watched The Doctors and was finally informed of all the info I wanted to know and had a longg hard thought about getting it. Today when talking with my doctor I came to find out that in 24hrs 3 prego woman in my city went into ICU and are on breathing support from H1N1 virus. They are in pretty bad shape and it hit them all very fast and hard. So knowing with me being prego and being very vulnerable to the virus that is hitting in my own town I decided to get the shot. My doc office only recieved 200 doses and I got one of them. I was told in the next 2 days they were going to be gone. Tbh it isnt so bad, I had no side effects other than a sore arm for a few hrs and I feel fine. The good thing is that now the baby will have immunities when he comes and since Jan is flu season it is a good thing for him to be born with. I still do not believe in the basic flu shot but meh.

Baby is still very active and is kicking me while I speak. He is carrying very low and all of my pubic bones are feeling brusised and crushed.

We are taking a trip for a baby shower in TN with the inlaws this thursday. I am excited to get out of town and go visit some family. It will take prob 8-10 hrs to get there but its okay I dont mind the drive. I will write about my trip when we get back :D
