My mood while writing this blog: sad |
Well today i went to the doctor's for my 35 week 6 day check up. Tomorrow i will be 36 weeks (9 months). Yay me! I know start seeing my doctor every week now until i deliver. I got tested for Group B today and waiting on the results to come back for that. Well i got some bad news. I lost 4 pounds and i am starting to drop but my son is breech so i am still 1 cm dilated and 70% effaced. I got an ultrasound done today to confirm that he is breech and got some more bad news. So i go for another ultrasound next Monday to see if he has magically turned head down again. If not then i am looking at a c-section at 39 weeks. My son has his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck and and his one kidney is bigger then the other and he has a full bladder but i guess he isn't peeing right. So he has to be seen right away by a pedatrician as soon as he is born. But his heartbeat today was 148 bpm and he is moving a lot like he has a ton of room to move in and it hurts sometimes when he moves and i am having contractions. I AM SO SCARED ABOUT GETTING THIS C-SECTION. I know nothing about c-sections so i am going to have to do some research on it and how long does it take to heal from one? I ask this because i am going to have a c-section done more in likely because i don't think he is going to turn by next week plus have to take care of a newborn and a toddler.

Monday, 16 Nov I worked in a hospital and saw many many c-sectiions. I'm not sure how long the hospital stay is where you are but it's about 5 days here (natural its between 2-4) I guess the best way to think about it, is to remember you are having surgery and to think about what you would need after surgery. I'd say a lot of comfy pillows and not overdoing it. I'm sure you will heal quickly and will feel better in no time :) Martha03 -
Monday, 16 Nov Hey.. I had my check up last week and my daughter is also breech. I go in on Monday as well to check her and I may have a c-sec as well. But I am not too scared. I have many friends and family who have had both and say they would prefer a c-section over natural!! So don't worry... and like my doc said.. the baby may turn. But you will be just fine!! Keep me posted! melissa1021 -
Monday, 16 Nov Have faith In god everything will be alright. michelle007 -
Monday, 16 Nov Brandi, everything will turn out just fine. Don't worry or try not to. (easier said than done) As far as the c-section goes it will be a piece of cake. You are young and everything is still working. I'm having my 2nd C-section Dec.19, and I am also having my tubes tied, I've never had that done. I am just alittle concerned about both at the same time, but they do this all the time. I just have to put things in God's hands. I will pray baby will turn, and that he is Healthy and You! Sweet Dreams! XOXO Michelle heathernunez -
Monday, 16 Nov You Would Be Surprised What Your Lil Man Can Do Within A Few Weeks. When I Was 35 Weeks My Son Was Breech And Turned Within The Week. I Was Huge And He Still Managed To Do It. I Still Had To Have A C-Section Do To Previous C-Sections. They Aren't That Bad. If You Do Have One Just Remember To Get Up And Walk As Soon As They Allow. It May Hurt But It Will Really Help With The Recovery. I Delivered A 9.3 Pound Baby At 37 Weeks. alexandnicksmommy -
Monday, 16 Nov I had a c-section with my first and will with this one!!! I was really sore for a few weeks but was up and moving within a few days. The only thing I worry about having the second one is my son is a mommas boy and he isn't going to understand that mommy can't be lifting him. But pray that he turns so you can attempt vaginal if not c-sections really aren't that bad!! Good luck!!! MrsMommy2 -
Monday, 16 Nov Don't worry about the c-section I had one with my first I was up out of bed the whole next day walking around in the hospital room and sitting in the chair. I went grocery shopping within the first week I was home (didnt take my son with me daddy watched him) but the best advice I can give you as the more you get up and move around the faster you are going to heal. You won't be able to pick your oldest up for awhile which is the same problem I am going to have after I have this baby as I will be having another c-section and I have a toddler at home as well. But im not to worried about it i'm having my c-section 2 weeks before christmas and i'm pretty sure i'll be up and playing with my son christmas morning. The first week is the worst but like I said the more you move the faster your going to heal. As far as his kidneys go I hope everything works out okay with that! kiwimum -
Monday, 16 Nov Chin up chick, I got told lots of scary things about Toby before he was born and the reality is that ultrasounds are not an exzct science, until holding that baby in there hands they can't tell anything 100%, as for the c-section, you still have time, focus on the possitive. Monday, 16 Nov A c-section is not that bad. You are young and this is your first one so you should heal fairly quickly. If you want a play by play of what to expect (typically) leave me a message. As far as everything else, pray over your baby! Prayer works and you have to believe that it does. Keep us posted! We are here for you! DiandClover -
Monday, 16 Nov I had a section - my son was breech, but I had other complication with my back, I would not have been able to push anyway. As much as I was scared of the c-section, it went off without a hitch, and I recovered quickly. My fear was much worse than the actual procedure/recovery. Whatever we need to do to get a healthy baby here, right??!! Good luck!! PS: Thanks for the hair cut vote ;)
